Swiss cabling specialist Reichle & De-Massari (R&M) announced that it has converted its India liaison office into its Indian subsidiary. Having started India operations in 2006, R&M reports that it has gained significant market share in the Indian cabling industry and has already invested in a demo and training center in Bengaluru for its partners and end users.

Gaurav Ahluwalia, Managing Director, R&M India, comments, “R&M India is another step towards delivering value to our customers. This change brings with it the opportunity for us to further cater to our customers increased demands. It also gives us the flexibility to expand our operations and create inroads into new verticals, markets and regions in India.”
Laurent Amestoy, President, Asia-Pacific, R&M, adds, “With this, we are expecting a double digits growth this year. The Indian subsidiary will help us in capitalizing on the success we have already achieved in the Indian market. India is a key market for R&M (Asia-Pacific) and we view it as powerful driver of growth.”

R&M recently launched its LC Duplex compact fiber-optic connector system and a fiber optic cable guidance product called the R&M Raceway System. R&M also launched its Cat 6A module (ISO/IEC) last year.
The cabling vendor recently added dedicated specialists for the IT and ITES, BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing, and automotive vertical markets, and increased its workforce by 25 percent. The Swiss company works with 90 partners and three distributors currently.
