Meet BICSI’s Recommended 2026 Board of Directors Candidates

BICSI’s Leadership Development Committee (LDC) recommended four nominees to serve on the Board of Directors in 2026, along with two nominees to serve on the LDC.

BICSI has named its final nominees for the BICSI Board of Directors and Leadership Development Committee with terms that begin January 1, 2026.

“The Leadership Development Committee (LDC) solicited and evaluated candidates who self-nominated for board and LDC service based on several criteria, including how they best characterize BICSI’s strategy and enhance BICSI’s commitment to the ICT profession,” BICSI stated when announcing the final candidates. “This is inclusive of geography, career level, skill sets, and areas of expertise. These nominees will bring a vast array of experience and perspectives in support of BICSI’s continued progress.”

The recommended Board of Directors candidates are:

  • Daniel Hunter, RCDD; owner, Wired Engineering
  • Miguelangel Ochoa Briceno, RCDD; director, ITTERA
  • Richard Ritter, RCDD, RTPM; electrical and communications engineering discipline leader, Tetra Tech
  • Jay Thompson, RCDD; director IT infrastructure, PMO, NBC Universal

When announcing these recommended candidates, BICSI further explained its “nominations and elections procedures provide the opportunity for alternate candidates to be nominated through a petition process. Should any member be nominated as an alternate candidate by petition, the petition must contain the signature of the petitioner, the alternate candidate, and at least 30 BICSI members in good standing and eligible to vote as of August 30, 2025. Petitions must be received at BICSI headquarters no later than August 30, 2025, at 5pm EDT, to the attention of the Leadership Development Committee. If no petitions are received, the above candidates will be considered elected.”

New Board of Directors and LDC members will be recognized during the BICSI Winter 2026 Conference taking place January 18-22 in Orlando, FL.
