Legrand, Jonathan Jew, Michael Stover Honored for TIA Standards Contributions

The Star Awards recognize TIA’s most dedicated members for their leadership, expertise, and engagement.

TIA Star Awards 2025

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) recently announced the recipients of its annual TIA Star Awards program. The association explained these awards “celebrate the most dedicated members whose leadership, expertise, and active engagement help advance the global ICT industry through TIA’s standards development and strategic initiatives.”

Jonathan Jew of J&M Consultants was named the 2025 TIA Star Award Individual Winner, while Legrand was named TIA Star Award Company Winner, and Michael Stover of Optical Cable Corporation was named TIA Star Rookie of the Year Winner.

Tom McGarry, TIA’s vice president of standards, said, “TIA is proud to recognize the exceptional technical leadership demonstrated by our 2025 TIA Star Award honorees, Jonathan Jew and Michael Stover, and we congratulate Legrand for earning the 2025 TIA Star Award for organizations. These contributors embody the engineering rigor, subject matter expertise, and sustained commitment required to advance TIA’s standards development work across complex ICT infrastructure domains. Their efforts strengthen the technical foundation our industry depends on, and we are grateful for the engineers and technical professionals whose contributions drive continuous improvement in global ICT standards.”

Jonathan Jew commented, “I’m grateful for the Star Award. I see this work as giving back to an industry that’s given me a career I truly enjoy. Our industry only moves forward because of people like my colleagues who dedicate their time to developing the standards and best practices we all depend on.”

In addition to the individual awards bestowed upon Jew, Stover, and Legrand, TIA also names 2% and 5% Award Winners as part of its Star Awards program. These winners are determined based on activity and point accumulation throughout the year.
