Sinclair Digital Wins Best Tech Innovation in DC Power Award
At this year’s Realcomm/IBcon conference, Sinclair Digital won the 2026 Digie Award for Best Tech Innovation in DC Power. These awards acknowledge companies that are transforming commercial smart buildings by delivering safe, efficient digital electricity and Power over Ethernet (PoE) to replace conventional AC systems.
Each project submitted for the 2026 DC-Powered Building Digie Award deployed the company’s AGILE-CORE Distributed Edge Architecture. Among these significant projects are:
- Hotel Marcel (New Haven, CT) - The first net-zero energy, U.S.-based Passive House-certified hotel that uses a DC microgrid and PoE infrastructure.
- HITT Contracting Headquarters (Falls Church, VA) - A corporate setting showing the scaling capabilities of unified DC low-voltage platforms scheduled to open next year.
- Mouser Electronics (Dallas-Fort Worth, TX) – A vast logistics and warehouse facility leveraging DC power and PoE lighting within large-scale industrial areas.
AGILE-CORE, Sinclair Digital’s leading platform, is an intelligent distributed edge architecture that replaces traditional AC electrical infrastructure with integrated digital power and data backbone.
By combining advanced Class 4 Power (Fault-Managed Power) with Power over Ethernet (PoE), AGILE-CORE distributes safe low-voltage DC power along with high-speed data directly to edge devices such as IT networks, OT endpoints, lighting, and IoT sensors.
This architecture removes the need for numerous localized IT closets, which in turn reduces building material requirements like copper and metal conduits. This also lowers construction CAPEX by $3 to $8 per square foot and cuts down building energy use by up to 30%.
It provides a basic, flexible foundation that can handle advanced, high-density edge compute and AI workloads.
"Winning the Digie Award for Best Tech Innovation is a profound validation of our mission to eliminate legacy infrastructure bottlenecks," said Luis Suau, Chief Business Officer at Sinclair Digital.
"To see HITT Contracting’s Headquarters, Hotel Marcel, and Mouser Electronics all recognized on this stage proves that Class 4 Fault-Managed Power and PoE are no longer experimental concepts—they are the standard for modern, intelligent real estate."
Sinclair Digital’s CEO has also been nominated for the Julie Devine Digital Impact Award, which honors visionaries fueling noteworthy, long-term change in both the smart building and commercial real estate industries through technology and innovation.
