These Fibre Channel transceivers provide transmit/receive signal conditioning for fiber-speed communications over common types of data-communications and telecommunications copper cabling. Designed for 1/8 to full-speed (1.0625-gigabaud) Fibre Channel appli-cations, the transceivers are interoperable according to ansi X3T11, fc-ph (FC-0 Rev 9.1). The transceivers receive fiber-speed signals from copper cables for over 100 meters and condition them for interfacing with fiber plant. The devices use proprietary high-performance wideband pulse transformers for noise filtering and common-mode signal rejection, as well as for impedance matching and equalization. The transceivers suit copper/ fiber applications and shielded twisted-pair, twinaxial, coaxial, and mini coaxial copper cables over lengths from 10 to 100 meters.
