Belden Electronics Division (www.belden.com) recently promoted Brian O'Connell to the position vice president of sales and marketing for the company's Americas operation. In his new capacity, O'Connell reports to division president Peter Wickman.
O'Connell joined Belden in July 1999 as vice president and general manager of Belden's Alpha Wire Company operations, a role in which he was responsible for all Alpha Wire sales, marketing, manufacturing, and distribution activities.
Previously, he was a vice president at C&M Corporation in Wauregan, CT. O'Connell holds a bachelor of science degree in design engineering from Northern Illinois University. He has received patents in the United States and Europe for products specific to the factory-automation environment.
