KnÜrr AG establishes new business unit

August 31, 2001 KnÜrr AG (Munich—www.knurr.com), a manufacturer of racks, enclosures, power supplies and technical furnishings, has established a new Design Integration business unit. The new group, originally part of Nortel Networks' local Internet solutions, is seen as helping KnÜrr provide direct global support for end-to-end integration of remote telecommunications solutions.

KnÜrr will locate its Design Integration team in Montreal, Canada. The group will include professionals in mechanical, systems/network, electrical engineering, and complete system design, as well as project management, thermal analysis and regulatory compliance. The unit will offer a wide range engineer-to-order services, including design, development, integration and deployment of outdoor base stations and enclosures for wireless, optical networking, and Internet access.
