June 19, 2001 Greenwoods Communications has announced further investment in the fiber-optics market with the expansion of its fiber facility in Birmingham, UK.

June 19, 2001 Greenwoods Communications (www.greenwoodscomms.com) has announced further investment in the fiber-optics market with the expansion of its fiber facility in Birmingham, UK. The custom-built facility was designed for the termination of fiber-optic connectors in 2000. Greenwoods has now introduced the latest equipment including interferometer, return and insertion loss testers, microscopes, cable strippers, and polishers that will allow full production of terminated fiber 24 hours a day, with streamlined production processes providing quicker turnaround for customers.

To demonstrate its growing capabilities in the fiber market, Greenwoods will be displaying a turnkey fiber installation at Networks Telecom in Birmingham, UK June 26-28. Visitors to the stand will be able to view fully cabled optical distribution frames, ADSL wiring, test equipment, and the Gigaduct fiber ducting system assembled in a real life environment.
