In Europe, Sony launches 3D-TV HDMI cables

The new cables include support for HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC) connectivity.

The website Softpedia is reporting that in Europe, Sony has lauched a new family of HDMI cables rated for full HD video and multi-channel digital surround sound from sources compatible with 3D TV. The cables are available in lengths from 1 m to 10 m and also support HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC), combining HD video, audio and high-speed data connectivity in a single cable. This feature simplifies networking between Internet-capable TVs and other devices, with minimized cabling requirements.
