PLATINUM: FlexScan FS300-325 Quad OTDR

The FlexScan Quad OTDR improves upon AFL’s FS200 pocket-sized, singlemode, point-to-point PON OTDR. It adds point-to-point multimode support and now includes integrated, user-configurable print-to-PDF reporting. It has a larger, brighter, higher-resolution, gesture-recognition touchscreen display and offers longer battery life. Like FlexScan FS200 single-mode OTDRs, the FS300 includes an integrated red laser visual fault locator, plus optional integrated optical light source, power meter and Bluetooth/WiFi communications, ensuring technicians have all the tools they need to verify and troubleshoot either singlemode or multimode networks. The FS300-325 is designed for contract installers supporting both multimode and singlemode networks, including FTTH PONs and passive optical LANs. FS300’s SmartAuto® multi-pulse acquisition and icon-based LinkMap® display simplify test setup and rapidly deliver accurate, easy-to-understand results, enabling even novice technicians to correctly verify and/or troubleshoot fiber-optic networks in a single visit.

GOLD: Category 6+ LSHF CMR cable for PoE

The Superior Essex Category 6+ LSHF CMR cable solution is designed for Power over Ethernet applications requiring a low-smoke halogen-free (LSHF) construction for which it meets IEC 62821 requirements for toxicity, acidity, and smoke. As a Category 6 cable, it is near the peak of current data-transmission standards and it features a solid annealed copper conductor and multiple thermoplastic insulation tubes in a flame-retardant jacket which, in the event of fire, will not leak any hazardous chemicals into the air. Its sustainability benefits also include a contribution toward LEED, WELL and Living Building Challenge certification through Environmental Product Declaration, third-party verified Health Product Declaration and Living Product Challenge certification. Arch | Nexus SAC is now the first Living certified project in the world that is an adaptive reuse of an existing building. It has also gained the LEED v4 certification of the highest rank, Platinum. The building generates more power than it expends thanks in part to Superior Essex low smoke halogen free Category 6+ cable, which connects and powers 40 client computer workstations, three private offices, and two conference rooms on top of security systems, and handles data for the entire complex.

SILVER: Firestop Locator app

Firestop Locator is a powerful tool that provides designers/specifiers, installers, and end users a platform to implement and track life-safety services through initial design, implementation, installation, and into final inspection. Firestop Locator tracks and documents the deployment and maintenance of firestop systems as well as other life-safety services across a facility. Leveraging modern web standards, Firestop Locator works on Android and iOS phones and tablets in addition to a desktop web browser. With data portability in mind, any reports or documentation collected in Firestop Locator can be exported to any other platform or software at any time.
