Matrox garners four AV industry awards at InfoComm 2016

July 14, 2016
The company's 4K IP multiviewer card, multi-channel streaming card, nine-output graphics card, and lecture capture appliance garnered "Best of Show" honors, as presented by AV Technology magazine.

On June 23, Matrox announced that its new Mura IPX 4K IP decode display multiviewer cards -- as well as its Maevex 6100 multi-channel 4K encoders, C900 nine-output graphics cards, and Monarch LCS lecture capture appliance -- were all the recipients of four of the audiovisual (AV) industry’s most prestigious industry honors, presented at InfoComm 2016.

A panel of on-site AV professionals judged new and outstanding products exhibited at the show on their "ability to solve meaningful problems for tech managers and integrators." NewBay Media’s 2016 InfoComm "Best of Show Awards" were awarded by AV Technology magazine to the Mura IPX 4K IP decode display cards; by Sound Video Contractor magazine to the Maevex 6100 encoders; by Digital Signage magazine to the C900 graphics cards; and by NewBay's Tech Learning site to the Matrox Monarch LCS lecture capture appliance.

“The 2016 Best of Show Winners were recognized because they truly solve problems rather than create them," commented Margot Douaihy, editorial director of AV Technology. "There are literally thousands of new products on display at InfoComm, by more than 900 manufacturers, but the 'Best of Show' winners stand apart. Our five expert judges evaluated each product on the show floor based on the proposed value proposition/ROI, richness and relevance of the feature set, perceived ease of installation, ease of management, and user friendliness.”

Thumbnail descriptions of the award-winning products, as provided by Matrox, are as follows:

-- The Mura IPX Series 4K IP decode and display cards enable high-density, IP-based multiviewers and personal video walls for control rooms, process monitoring, and security applications.

-- The Matrox C900 nine-output graphics cards are billed as the first boards to uniquely power 3x3 or 9x1 video walls; the card's single-slot design makes building video walls easy for use in digital signage, presentation, and control room applications.

-- The Maevex 6100 Series multi-channel PCIe card and appliance-based encoders capture four up-to-4Kp30 inputs for world-class, real-time encoding and live streaming and recording applications.

-- The Matrox Monarch LCS is an easy-to-use two-input lecture capture appliance that can be easily integrated into video management systems (VMS) and learning management systems (LMS).

“We’re thrilled that these leading AV professionals selected Matrox products for their ability to add tremendous value to a wide range of AV-over-IP, digital signage, real-time streaming, and lecture capture applications,” said David Chiappini, VP of research and development, Matrox Graphics. “They no doubt recognized our solutions as the premier choice in industries that require stable, high-reliability products.”
