Patty Marrero, Vice President of Organization Development & Talent Acquisition at Phoenix Contact in Middletown, PA, was recently named to the board of directors of The Manufacturers’ Association, a multi-county regional trade association providing services and benefits to member companies in the manufacturing and logistics segments throughout South Central Pennsylvania and North Central Maryland.

As VP of Organization Development & Talent Acquisition at Phoenix Contact, Marrero has been involved in the company’s organizational development since 2005. Phoenix Contact USA was one of the first international subsidiaries, founded in 1981, from the global company that was founded in Germany in 1923. The company's U.S. headquarters is home to manufacturing and distribution center and employs more than 600 employees in Harrisburg, PA and an additional 250 employees throughout the US.

In addition to her new role at The Manufacturers’ Association, Marrero also co-chairs the NextGen Advanced Manufacturing Partnership in South Central PA. The employer group works to address the issues that restrain the growth of manufacturing in the region.

Marrero has been with Phoenix Contact for over 16 years, and previously worked as a training director at Country Meadows Retirement Communities and Pennsylvania American Water Company. A resident of Hershey, she is SHRM Certified and a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She continued her master studies at Penn State University in Education and earned her master’s degree from Villanova University in Human Resources.

Marrero will assume her new role with The Manufacturers’ Association at the association’s board of directors meeting on May 26, 2021. Per the association's statement:

The Manufacturers' Association is the partner and advocate for manufacturing, production, and logistics in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Founded in 1906 within the strength of the region's strong industrial roots, today the association actively works with many types of organizations − offering member benefits such as employee education, training group benefit insurance, professional HR and search services, networking events, and more.
