BICSI ICT Certification Institute launches

Today at the BICSI Fall Conference 2022 (Sep. 25-29) in Las Vegas, the ICT professionals' and standards organization announced the launch of the BICSI ICT Certification Institute. Per a BICSI statement, the new global institute "is the distillation of the ethics, experience and excellence embodied by each BICSI certification."

BICSI is now bringing all of its certifications under the BICSI ICT Certification Institute umbrella. The new institute encompasses BICSI's seven certifications and one certificate:

  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer® (RCDD®)
  • Data Center Design Consultant® (DCDC®)
  • Registered Telecommunications Project Manager® (RTPM®)
  • Outside Plant Designer (OSP™)
  • BICSI Cabling Installation Installer 1® (INST1®), Installer 2, Copper® (INSTC®), Installer 2, Optical Fiber ® (INSTF®), Technician™ (TECH™)

BICSI board president Carol Everett Oliver commented:

As reckoned by the organization, BICSI's ICT certifications comprise the following skill sets:

  • DCDC®    "BICSI’s Data Center Design Consultant® (DCDC) certification represents authority on data center design for the ICT industry."

To manage certifications or apply, BICSI ICT Certification Institute adherents may simply log into or create a BICSI profile.

There students can manage current certifications, apply for a certification exam, submit CECs and download certificates on each members' Certification Dashboard (found under 'My Account'). Keeping updated BICSI profile contact information means members won't miss any important updates about their certifications.

According to the BICSI website, financial support for institute attendees includes GI Bill information and other military financial assistance.
