The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) announced that Canva's "Chief [Technology] Evangelist" Guy Kawasaki will keynote the TIA 2014: Network of the Future conference, to be held June 3-5 in Dallas, Texas. The former Apple and Google executive will join a roster of distinguished industry leaders to set keynote presentations for the conference, including AT&T CTO Krish Prabhu, and executives from Verizon, CenturyLink, Kaiser Permanente, Ericsson and Panasonic.
Kawasaki and Greg Manganello, senior vice president of services at Fujitsu Network Communications, will both provide keynote presentations during the conference’s annual VIP dinner, held Wednesday, June 4, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sponsored by Fujitsu, the dinner will also recognize the winners of TIA’s Disruptors Competition, which features startups that are pushing the benchmark of innovation within the information and communications technology (ICT) industry.
Prior to joining Canva, an innovative online graphic design service, Kawasaki was an advisor to the Motorola business unit of Google, where he was responsible for creating the Google+ mobile device community. Previously, he was chief technology evangelist for Apple. Kawasaki is also a founder of Alltop, an online service which aggregates top headlines, and is an executive fellow at the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley. He has published 12 books on subjects ranging from Google+ to business advice, book publishing and more.
