They deliver: Vision Technologies providing in-building cellular solutions for US Postal Service

Vision Technologies has signed a 5-year, $13-million contract to provide distributed antenna systems to the USPS.

Vision Technologies recently announced it has been awarded an in-building cellular solutions contract by the United States Postal Service. The contract, valued at $13 million, covers a 5-year period.

“This is a great opportunity for Vision to support the enhancement of indoor cellular coverage in many of its facilities nationwide,” said Tom Cuneo, vice president of business development for Vision.

“The mobility business unit is excited to get started on this wonderful opportunity with USPS and our channel partner, Zinwave,” added Mike Foss, business unit manager of Vision’s mobility practice. “The entire team at Vision worked very hard to put this together and the award will help showcase our national delivery capabilities.”

On its website, Vision explains, “A distributed antenna system is a network of antennas spread through a building and connected to a source module to provide expanded wireless service in any given area. DAS solution technology ensures a massive signal boost without having to modify construction plans, risk code-compliance or cellular connectivity. Gone are the days when employees are forced to wander the building in search of a cell signal.”
