Mobile app integrates WiFi site survey, analyzer, heatmapper tools
A new Youtube video demonstrates Wolf WiFi Pro 1.3, an enterprise-class toolkit for wireless professionals contained in a mobile app for Android devices. Beyond just searching for WiFi networks, the app enables a user to perform full wireless site surveys, import floor plans, and create heat maps, channel maps and AP edge views. The tool also monitors active 802.11 a/b/g/n channels to pinpoint areas of congestion. Built-in filters identify Open, WEP, Ad Hoc and secure networks. Device WiFi management is also supported; a network icon library enables placement of icons on a floor plan to identify the location of network equipment.
