Ethernet extender kit deploys PoE up to 1000 meters

Antaira Technologies has announced the expansion of its industrial networking infrastructure family with the introduction of its rugged LEP-301M-KIT Ethernet extender kit, designed to overcome the 100 meter limitation of copper Ethernet technology.

The kit comes with both near end (LEP-301M-TX) and far end (LEP-301M-RX) devices for a complete set. The LEP-301M-KIT goes beyond simply extending Ethernet by also extending Power over Ethernet (PoE) to distances up to 1000 meters.

Per Antaira, "This makes installing and powering remote PoE/PD devices simple. Devices such as security cameras, wireless access points, alarms, traffic controllers, sensors and tracking devices that are found in traffic management, oil and gas pipelines, and weather tracking [can] benefit from this technology."
