Network Technologies Inc. (NTI) has announced the addition of the company's RJ45 RS485 Sensor Port Hub for its E-16D Large Enterprise Environment Monitoring System.

The hub device provides eight RJ45 modular jacks for connecting additional NTI RS485 sensors to the E-16D such as temperature, humidity, leak location detection, 3-Phase AC power monitor, DC voltage monitor, and others.

Each E-16D monitoring system supports up to three E-RJ8-RS485 expanders, allowing for a total of 37 RJ45 RS485 sensors to be connected to the E-16D. It interfaces with the E-16D via RJ45 Sensor Ports #1, 2, and 3 using CAT 5/5e/6 cable up to 1,000 feet.

The RJ45 RS485 Sensor Port Hub is powered by an included 12VDC 2.5A external power supply, and is available as a desktop unit with wall mounting brackets, a DIN mount unit, or a 1RU rackmount unit.

Available for immediate sale, the E-RJ8-RS485 Desktop Sensor Expander costs $225, the E-RJ8-RS485-D Din Mount Sensor Expander costs $250, and the E-RJ8-RS485-R 1RU Rackmount Sensor Expander costs $235.
