Antaira Adds PoE+ Unmanaged Switch to Portoflio

Antaira has added its LNP-0500G-24-T 5-port Gigabit PoE+ unmanaged switch to its portfolio of network solutions. The company notes that Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) installations that utilize solar power to provide DC voltage to on-board devices are unable to use PoE-enabled Ethernet switches because the DC voltage range to operate the switches is almost double solar power’s usual voltage.

The LNP-0500G-24-T 5-port Gigabit PoE+ unmanaged switch is Antaira’s solution to the problem. This device has an internal DC-to-DC power boost feature that takes low-voltage input (12-36VDC) and boosts it to 48VDC. Antaira’s switch allows for network connectivity and 30W PoE 802.3at/af power to be delivered to connected devices through four of the switch's five Gigabit ports. The device also has an external power supply option available to connect to wall power.

The LNP-0500G-24-T is an industrial-grade solution featuring an IP30 metal housing that protects internal electronics from harsh, extended temperatures from -40° to 75°C. The device also has UL Class I, Division 2 Certification, making it suitable to be used in hazardous environments. Additional features include a compact design with 2000 VCD surge protection, a built-in relay output for power failure warnings, and ESD protection of up to 6000 VDC.
