Antaira Launches 30% Smaller Industrial Ethernet Switch

Jan. 22, 2024
Antaira’s LNP-C800G is one of the most compact Ethernet switches out there and it comes with a bevy of desirable features.

Background on Antaira’s industrial Ethernet switch

Antaira recently launched its LNP-C800G which is the company’s most compact industrial-grade PoE+ Gigabit unmanaged Ethernet switch. The switch was designed for smaller spaces, such as control cabinets and tight machinery. The LNP-C800G is 30% smaller than the typical switch, and “brings unmatched reliability, versatility, and value to factory automation, Intelligent Transportation Systems, on-vehicle networks, solar power stations, video surveillance, and remote outdoor installations.”

Features of the LNP-C800G

Antaira’s LNP-C800G industrial Ethernet switch has many features including eight RJ45 ports which each have automatic MDI/MDI-X detection. This means that the switch can connect to a different switch or workstation without changing the straight-through or crossover cabling. The device has a backplane speed of 16 Gbps and support for 9.2Kbytes jumbo frames to aid in efficiently transmitting larger files.

“Put together, these features make for lower infrastructure costs, less downtime during deployment or network expansion, and easier connectivity of PoE-enabled devices without requiring separate power supplies or outlets.”
