Zyxel Networks has announced the launch of its XS1930 Series multi-Gigabit smart managed switches. Designed for small and medium businesses, the company says the XS1930 switches affordably provide an easy-to-manage platform for upgrading network infrastructure to provide the multi-Gigabit performance required to take full advantage of the latest WiFi 6 technology.

The new XS1930-10 and XS1930-12HP switches, which feature five-color LEDs to provide at-a-glance port speed information, are high-performance multi-Gigabit switches that support variable speeds to address the data speed requirements of the various applications and devices used throughout the office. The XS1930-series switches, which can be managed with Zyxel’s Nebula Cloud Management system or operated in standalone mode, provide port speeds ranging from 100Mbps to 10Gbps over standard Ethernet cables, allowing businesses to easily upgrade the bandwidth capacity and performance of their network.

The XS1930-10 ($499 MSRP) features eight RJ-45 ports that can each support 100Mbps, 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps or 10Gbps speeds, and two 10-Gigabit SFP+ ports. The XS1930-12HP ($999 MSRP) provides two RJ-45 Ethernet ports and eight RJ-45 Ethernet ports with PoE++, each of which supports 100Mbps, 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps, or 10Gbps data speeds, and two 10-Gigabit SFP+ ports. The XS1930-12HP offers a 375W PoE power budget using 802.3bt to provide up to 60W per port to accommodate the high-power requirement of WiFi 6 access points.

“The rollout of WiFi 6 technology can greatly increase productivity and capabilities of businesses through the delivery of faster speeds and better connectivity, but it can place a huge strain on existing network bandwidth,” observes Tri Nguyen, market development manager at Zyxel. “The new XS1930 series switches complement WiFi 6 deployments and future-proofs the infrastructure by supporting variable speeds up to 10 Gig on existing network cabling.”

The Zyxel XS1930 Series multi-Gigabit smart managed switches carry a lifetime limited warranty and are available now through all Zyxel authorized resellers and e-Commerce partners. For more information, visit www.zyxel.com/us.
