Partnership with Televés brings Padtec's DWDM technology to EMEA

June 25, 2021
Through the partnership, DWDM solutions developed by Padtec become part of Televés’s product line.

Padtec, a manufacturer of optical transport systems, recently announced a partnership with Spanish multinational company Televés, a provider of telecommunications infrastructure solutions. Through the agreement, dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) products developed by Padtec are now part of Televés’s product line and available throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). When announcing the partnership, Padtec said the agreement is part of its “strategy for the coming years, which focuses on expanding its presence in the international market.”

Manuel Andrade, Padtec North America’s chief executive officer and operations senior vice president, said the partnership is more than a commercial relationship. “The alliance enables both companies to enhance their market knowledge and add to their technological and production capabilities,” Padtec said.

“Televés is recognized for its efforts in research and development, for developing cutting-edge solutions and offering its customers qualified technician support in installation, commissioning and after-sales services, in addition to having deep commercial knowledge of the markets in which it operates,” pointed out Carlos Raimar Schoeninger, Padtec’s chief executive officer. “In this scenario, the company is well positioned to help us deliver solutions capable of meeting the demands of the EMEA market. With this initiative, we are accelerating our international expansion plan.”

Santiago Rey Requejo, chief executive officer of Televés Corporación, said Padtec’s product line will allow the company to add solutions that meet exponential demand for high-capacity data transmission to its portfolio. “The partnership with Padtec places Televés as a solution provider for the entire EMEA market, in which the company already has a presence and is a reference in the telecommunications infrastructure segment,” he stated. “We are very pleased to be able to work with Padtec and offer optical transmission equipment to the market using state-of-the-art technology.”

Esther Gómez, business unit director at Televés, expressed optimism regarding the expectations this agreement generates. “The era of digital transformation requires reliable, high-capacity, low-latency optical networks,” Gómez said. “In this sense, technology manufacturers need to offer solutions that balance performance and profitability. Televés’s commitment to solutions based on DWDM technology was the motivator to seek a partnership with Padtec, uniting the potential of the companies to position them as a technological provider capable of meeting the demands of the telecommunications ecosystem.”
