ADRF Introduces PSR NEO Series Public Safety Digital Repeaters for ERCES Deployments
ADRF New Public Safety Repeater Designed for Modern ERCES Systems
Advanced RF Technologies (ADRF) has introduced the PSR NEO Series of public safety digital repeaters designed for Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement Systems (ERCES) deployments.
The system supports 700/800 MHz, UHF, and VHF frequency bands and is compliant with the latest IFC and NFPA codes, as well as UL standards.
Higher Channel Capacity and Improved Network Protection
The PSR NEO series introduces expanded narrowband channel capacity, supporting up to 128 narrowband channels and six wideband channels to accommodate increasing traffic across public safety networks.
Additional network protection and performance features include:
- Channelized automatic level control (ALC) and automatic gain control (AGC) per timeslot
- Channelized uplink squelch
- Oscillation detection with automatic amplifier shutdown
- Advanced noise and interference prevention
- Improved filtering for clearer signal transmission in mission-critical environments
The repeaters support up to 95 dB of gain and 33 dBm output power, helping extend signal coverage within large buildings and complex facilities.
Built for Code Compliance and Simplified Installation
The PSR NEO Series is certified to UL 2524 Third Edition as a comprehensive public safety communication solution, with an integrated annunciator and compatibility with ADRF battery backup systems.
The platform also supports FCC Part 90 Class A and Class B filtering options, enabling deployments that meet regulatory requirements for public safety radio networks.
To streamline deployment, ADRF incorporated several installation-focused features, including:
- Integrated wiring compartment with pre-drilled conduit holes
- Terminal blocks for simplified connections
- Real-time isolation check routines for installation verification
- Built-in emergency power-off functionality
- Support for up to 14 programmable alarms
The repeater also includes a UL sleep mode, which reduces uplink noise during periods of low network activity.
Designed for Expanding Public Safety Communication Needs
“PSR NEO offers improvements in all aspects over the previous generatio from performance to installation,” said Victor Mejia, Product Manager at ADRF. “We are excited to deliver a solution that provides integrators and safety professionals with technology that meets today’s standards and is built to support networks as they grow.”
