Instor appoints seasoned technologist and thought leader Nabeel Mahmood as Chief Information Officer, who joins the company at a critical stage of growth.

Instor Solutions, a provider of data center deployment services, on March 16 announced the appointment of Nabeel Mahmood as the company’s Chief Information Officer. Mahmood will be responsible for leading the delivery of technology for data center moves and migration that will continue to drive innovation for Instor’s customers and partners.

As a well-known technologist, Mahmood will focus his unique skill set on accelerating the development of Instor’s new critical infrastructure solutions, and will also be responsible for the rollout of Instor’s new cloud platforms and other services to meet the demands of next generation data centers globally.

Founded in 1996 and based in the San Francisco Bay area, Instor is a global specialist in data center design, build, management, structured cabling, power infrastructure, specialized containment, and cooling solutions. The company has designed and installed infrastructure for high-growth startups to Fortune 100 companies and public institutions.

“Since becoming President of Instor, I’ve been extremely proud of our team’s accomplishments. As the data center ecosystem continues to change rapidly, Nabeel will complement our team’s expertise,” said Jack Vonich, President, Instor Solutions. “Our clients and partners are ecstatic that Nabeel is going to be an integral part of our vision.”

Mahmood brings to Instor more than twenty years of leading large-scale global technology organizations through rapid changes and growth via M&A and global expansion. Throughout his career he has guided companies through transformational changes, connecting IT to the needs of the business, technology innovation, big data, cloud, AI, mobility and data centers. He currently serves on the board of directors for SCB Global and United Security Bank. He is also the host of a popular digital infrastructure podcast, Nomad Futurist.

“I feel very fortunate to join such a great team at Instor,” commented Mahmood. “Jack’s guidance and leadership continues to position Instor to be a leading provider of data infrastructure. Our vision is to build on Instor’s impressive trajectory, continually evolve our range of products and services that allow for quick and material ROI, and value-add for our customers while providing first-class service at every step of the journey. It’s Instor’s long history of integrity in serving clients that mattered most to me.”

In addition to Mahmood’s appointment, Instor announced it has made several additional senior leadership changes in support of the company’s operating model to enhance its sales, service, and customer functions by geography, as well as to support its long-term growth strategy. The additional appointments are as follows:
