Apple seeking data center professionals

Apple is currently hiring data center engineers.

Rich Miller at Data Center Knowledgereports that "Apple is continuing to hire staff for its data center operations, with positions available at current and future locations in North Carolina, Oregon, California, sites in Newark and Santa Clara, and a new data center under construction in Reno, Nevada."

Current job openings posted on the Apple site include a position for a Data Center Site Services Manager in Maiden, North Carolina, and a Data Center Chief Operating Engineer in Newark, NJ. The sought-after positions call for “familiarity with Apple’s hardware environment,” which can include equipment from Apple, IBM's pSeries and xSeries, Sun, HP, Datadomain, NetApp, Teradata and IBM storage, notes Miller.
