Dec. 13, 2019
For the sixth consecutive year, Women in BICSI will sponsor a female competitor in the Cabling Skills Challenge at BICSI’s Winter Conference and Exhibition.

For the sixth consecutive year, Women in BICSI will sponsor a female competitor in the BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge, which will take place during the BICSI Winter Conference and Exhibition, February 10-12. Women in BICSI currently is seeking applicants to be their sponsored competitor.

Last year’s Women in BICSI-sponsored competitor, Ashley Kellison, finished in second place in the ITS Installer 1 Division of the competition.

The Women in BICSI sponsorship covers travel expenses, and all selected competitors receive a complimentary registration to the 2020 BICSI Winter Conference and Exhibition, which will be held in Tampa, FL.

The deadline to apply to represent Women in BICSI in the competition was Friday, January 3, 2020. After reviewing applicants, Women in BICSI will select this year's competitor.

Women in BICSI has established this GoFundMe account through which it is accepting contributions to fund its sponsorship of a Skills Challenge competitor. “Any amount is greatly appreciated,” Women in BICSI said. “Additional ways to sponsor include direct funding of the competitor’s travel expenses, and gift-card donations that are used toward the competitor’s daily approved expenses.”

Anyone interested in learning more about sponsoring Women in BICSI’s efforts can contact Cyndi Garrison via email.

Women in BICSI comprises 250 members. The group provides the growing number of women in the ICT industry with professional development, networking, and mentoring opportunities.
