Klein Tools unveils Class E safety helmets

Klein Tools' new Type I, Class E Hard Hats (Non-Vented) feature a non-vented design built for electricians, telecom tower technicians, windmill technicians and line crews working at height.

Klein Tools has introduced its new line of Safety Helmets, building upon the same features and attributes of the Klein Hard Hats with a focus on safety, comfort and fit. The new helmets’ compact and lightweight design allow easy access to confined spaces and make them ideal for at-height applications.

All of the new safety helmets feature a compact, lightweight design for at-height and confined space applications and a low-profile bill for unobstructed visibility, especially when looking up.

Tested to the latest ANSI Z89.1, CSA Z94.3, EN397, and EN12492 standards for top, front/black and side impact, penetration and deformation, the helmets' patent-pending accessory mounts of front and back ensure Klein headlamps attach securely and precisely – no straps needed.

The helmets' 6-point suspension offers enhanced stability and secure fit, along with an open-frame design for optimal air circulation. The sweatband and top pad are made from sweat-wicking, breathable padding that is machine washable. A large ratchet knob enables easy one-handed adjustment, even with gloves on. The detachable 4-point leather-bound chin strap ensures long-term comfort and a secure fit.

“Klein Tools new line of safety helmets were designed with a focus on three main things: fall protection safety, long-term comfort and ideal fit,” comments Shantanu Deshpande, senior product manager at Klein Tools. “Our team took what we already knew from our award-winning hard hats and translated it into these new safety helmets."

Klein Tools' new Type I, Class E Hard Hats (Non-Vented) feature a non-vented design built for electricians, telecom tower technicians, windmill technicians and line crews working at height. Tested up to 20kV, this helmet is designed for use where electrical protection is required.

Also available, the new Type I, Class C Hard Hats (Vented) feature adjustable vents that can be opened or closed for maximum air circulation. These helmets are built for plumbers, carpenters, arborists, and general construction workers who work in tight spaces or at-height job sites that don’t require electrical protection.

Klein Tools' Deshpande concludes, "These helmets feature a low-profile and lightweight design, making them comfortable and easy to wear for extended periods while still providing the protection trade professionals require on the jobsite.”
