Private equity firm Crestview Partners this month announced that it has made a significant investment in Colorado-based value-added broadband distributor and reseller Digicomm International.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1993 by Rob Donziger, Digicomm provides equipment and services for the global broadband industry, with specialization in the $2+ billion hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) market and a growing presence in the $4+ billion fiber (FTTx) market.
The company says it's known for offering "mission-critical products on a just-in-time basis" and vendor managed inventory and engineering services to MSOs and other telecommunication providers.
Crestview’s prior investments in the cable and telecommunications sectors include Congruex, WOW!, Charter Communications, Insight Communications, Interoute Communications, and OneLink Communications.
Digicomm founder Donziger will remain a major investor and continue as CEO.
