Online worksheet provides product lists and technical support for network contractors and designers.

Leviton has launched its Small Business Network Design Tool. The company says the tool was created to give network contractors and cabling design experts easy access to products and assistance they need to build small-to-mid-size commercial networks.

The tool allows users to complete a worksheet on Leviton’s website with essential information about their planned network, including how many ports are needed at each workstation and what type of cabling is desired, to receive a detailed list of recommended components. Each custom product list is compiled by a Leviton technical support representative within one to two business days and includes specific patch panels, connectors, wallplates, enclosures, patch cords and accessories.

“We built the Small Business Network Design Tool to provide customers with a direct link to expert design assistance for smaller commercial projects, combining the resources of our Applications Engineering team and regional Leviton representatives,” comments Scott Robinson, senior director of applications engineering and quality at Leviton Network Solutions. “Now users not only have an invaluable resource for planning, they also will save time by being provided with a bill of materials customized to meet their exact needs.”
