October 31, 2005 -- Timbercon, Inc. has ranked #411 in the 2006 Deloitte Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in North America. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five years, from 2001-2005. According to Deloitte, Timbercon grew 285% during this period.

Founded in 1997, Timbercon (www.timbercon.com) is a fiber-optic product assembly and manufacturing company that provides a wide range of connectivity products to the data storage, OEM and low voltage electrical industries. In addition to standard fiber-optic patch cords and attenuated test cables, the company offers multiple proprietary products.

Timbercon's president, Eric Meslow, credits the company's growth over the past five years to product innovation and a great team. "We are constantly developing new and inventive products that provide our customers with reliable, quality fiber-optic solutions," he says. "Ranking on the Fast 500 list again this year shows that these innovative products coupled with a great team can help us move forward as we continue to provide the best support possible to our customers."

Deloitte's Fast 500 ranks the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in North America. The ranking is compiled from Deloitte's 16 regional North American Fast 50 programs and public company database research, with nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500. Companies are selected based on percentage revenue growth from 2001 to 2005.

Entrants in the ranking must own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues, or devote a significant proportion of revenues to research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify. Base-year operating revenues must be at least $50,000 USD or $75,000 CD, and current-year operating revenues must be at least $5 million USD or CD. Companies must be in business a minimum of five years, and must be headquartered within North America.

"To be successful in today's increasingly competitive landscape, companies have to be better, smarter and more innovative than in the past, and the Technology Fast 500 companies are doing exactly that," remarks Tony Kern, deputy managing principal of Deloitte's Technology, Media & Telecommunications industry practice. "We applaud Timbercon for being among the fastest growing companies in North America."
