Annual Cabling Innovators Awards Program Open for Entries
The 2026 Cabling Innovators Awards program is officially underway, as Cabling Installation & Maintenance began accepting entries recently. Now in its 12th year, the awards program celebrates the products, projects, and programs that are deemed to be innovative to a point at which they have made noticeable improvements over previous approaches, methods, technologies, or implementations.
Organizations are invited to self-nominate for the awards; there is a fee for each nomination ($650 through August 31 then $750 through the final submission deadline of September 28). Organizations are particularly encouraged to participate if they have an entry that is a game-changer for professionals in the cabling and ICT industry in any of the following ways.
- Innovative approach to project or system design and implementation
- Value to the user, which can be measured by qualities such as return on investment, loss prevention, or business-efficiency gains
- Positive impact on the customer
- Sustainability, characterized by overall eco-friendliness, long-term value, lifecycle cost-effectiveness, or other measures
- Meeting a defined need as a well-conceived, well-executed initiative that fully met specific user requirements
- Collaboration, including communication and cooperation throughout the value chain through which the product or system was procured and deployed
- Impact, which can be identified by describing the difference made on the professionals involved, on the productivity of users, and/or on society as a whole
After the September 28 entry deadline, entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts. Entries deemed worthy will receive an award at one of three levels: Platinum, Gold, or Silver. The honorees will be announced in late 2026.
We have built a website dedicated to the 2026 Cabling Innovators Awards program. It includes information on how to submit an entry, benefits of participating, as well as tips for crafting your entry and FAQs.
