Access-control provider seeking structured cabling VARs

March 17, 2011
Matrix Systems is looking for resellers for its new Frontier Web Essentials and Frontier Universe product lines.

Matrix Systems is a Miamisburg, Ohio-based manufacturer of security products including access-control, biometric, video-management and other technologies. The company is establishing a value-added reseller (VAR) network for its new Frontier product lines. Matrix Systems is seeking out structured cabling installation professionals, among others, to fill its VAR ranks. The company is currently recruiting structured cabling pros as well as resellers with security industry integration experience, electrical installers and sound/communication-system installers. The VAR network will provide sales, installation, integration and customer support.

The systems for which Matrix is recruiting the VARs are Frontier Web Essentials and Frontier Universe. The company describes Frontier Web Essentials as an entry-level, browser-based access-control system and Frontier Universe as an enterprise-level system. Bob Mosler, who is director of contract sales for the company, says the two products are "already generating momentum."

Frontier Universe requires VARs to sell and install servers, software and hardware to meet requirements for end users of all sizes. VARs will also provide product service with support from Matrix Systems. Frontier Web Essentials is aimed at smaller users; it can accommodate a maximum of 16 doors and 500 cardholders. Matrix says this system's setup is a straightforward out-of-the-box job. The company suggests that such a project will be "a profitable add-on for VARs that are already wiring facilities for alarm, telecommunications, CCTV, electrical and sound/communications systems."

Matrix Systems welcomes interested contractors to get in touch with Gayle Adair via phone at 800-562-8749 ext. 2864 or via email.
