Diane Forbes Elected Vice Chair of TIA Cabling Standards Development Committee

Forbes, chief executive officer of NIS, will serve Vice Chair of the TR-42 Telecommunications Cabling Systems Engineering Committee.

Diane Forbes, chief executive officer and principal consultant with NIS, recently was elected Vice Chair of the Telecommunications Industry Association’s TR-42 Telecommunications Cabling Systems Engineering Committee. The election was made by administrative ballot following TR-42’s most recent meeting held earlier in February.

Forbes also chairs the TR-42.1 Premises Telecommunications Infrastructure Subcommittee.

At the February meeting, TR-42 elected Cindy Montstream as its Chair via proclamation. Also that week, TR-42.5 (Telecommunications Infrastructure Terms and Symbols) elected Tiger Ninomiya of Accelink as Chair and Bob Faber of DLB Associates as Vice Chair; and TR-42.12 (Optical Fibers and Cables) elected Michael Stover of Optical Cable Corporation as Chair and Daniel Smith of NEST Technical Services as Vice Chair.
