The OFL100 OTDR is designed to quickly and easily locate a loss event in the last mile of a FTTx network. The unit features a convenient touchscreen and intuitive interface with simple one-touch button test functions, all housed in a ruggedized lightweight package.
Via the OFL100, technicians can choose between Auto or Expert modes to quickly measure lengths and locate cut fibers, and contaminated, or damaged connectors in FTTx and P2P networks.
Integrated OPM, VFL and loss testing components round out "this capably featured OTDR to enable the technician to test, qualify and troubleshoot the 'toughest to track down' fiber faults in the last mile," says Tempo.
Test results can be saved and exported as GR196 Telcordia Standards compliant SOR files. The SOR file can be imported into the Trace Viewing Program for subsequent analysis and storage to produce close out reports as a standard PDF.
“The OFL100 brings an affordable, high-quality solution to even the novice fiber technician,” contends Jason Butchko, president of Tempo Communications. “The OTDR allows techs to quickly and accurately troubleshoot last-mile FTTx networks.”
