Phoenix Contact has launched RJ45 jacks that have numerous benefits due to their integrated magnetics.

Phoenix Contact recently announced its new RJ45 jacks with integrated magnetics. These new products are complementary additions to the company’s standard and industrial RJ45 jack portfolio. The jacks’ integrated magnetics improve electromagnetic interference (EMI) noise shielding and ensure the reliability of data connections in industrial applications.

The Ethernet design process is simplified and PCB complexity is lowered due to the RJ45 jacks having the magnetics integrated. “The 90° and 180° single-port PCB connectors are suitable for wave soldering (THT) and reflow (THR) processing, which enables automated processing.” Phoenix Contact’s RJ45 jacks with integrated magnetics have a sturdy industrial design, making them suitable to be used in demanding environments.

The jacks allow for data rates up to 1 Gbps, have optional shield springs, and use LEDs for the interface.
