Excel Networking recently debuted a feature the company says streamlines product verification and compliance. Customers can now scan a QR code on product labels to access individual factory test data via the “Product Performance” area of the company’s website.

“We are excited to introduce this feature, which gives our customers immediate access to specific test data recorded at production stage for each Excel product they install,” commented Jason Rudge, the company’s commercial product director. “Currently, the portal supports a wide range of products including copper cables, fiber cables, fiber patch cords and fiber cassettes—with more being added regularly.”

Customers can scan the QR code, or navigate to the “Product Performance” section of Excel’s website. By entering the unique Trace Test number, which is found on the product label and on the outer sheath of bulk cable, the customer can retrieve detailed batch test results.

“The portal also allows users to download the Declaration of Performance for each product in 17 different languages, supporting international compliance and documentation needs,” Rudge added. Excel products are sold in more than 70 countries around the world.

“Many of our installation partners needed a simple way to submit individual batch test data to their end customers,” Rudge reflected, explaining a primary reason the tool was developed. “We’re proud to deliver a solution that not only meets that need, but enhanced the overall installation experience.”
