Multi-axis RJ45 punchdown modular plugs for Cat 6 and Cat 6a Ethernet connections

Stewart Connector’s Multi Axis RJ45 punch down plug offers a 90° termination position with final position options of top, bottom or side entry.

Stewart Connector, a Bel group company (NASDAQ: BELFA and BELFB), announced the release of its Cat6 and Cat6A Multi Axis RJ45 punch down modular plugs. The manufacturer of high-speed connectors used in data communication applications bills its Multi Axis RJ45 punch down plugs as time-saving solutions for Ethernet connections that require field terminations. 

The Multi Axis punch down plug's design offers a 90° termination position, with final position options of top, bottom or side entry. The plug's easy-to-use, color-coded conductor with pre-load wire manager provides an efficient termination without the need of tools.

The Multi Axis punch down plugs can be used for solid or stranded 22-26 AWG cable with a diameter over the conductor insulation up to 1.6mm (0.63in) and accepts an overall cable OD of 6mm (0.236in) to 8mm (0.315in).

These connectors feature contacts with 50 micro  inches of gold plating for increased cycle life. The Multi Axis punch down plugs are also IP20 rated and include a zinc die-cast housing and latch protectors which are suitable to withstand harsh environments.

Applications for Stewart’s Multi-Axis RJ45 punch down plugs include data, telecom, wireless, PoE applications and industrial equipment connections. The Cat6 version of the Multi-Axis plug is suitable for use in 1G Base-T networks and the Cat6A version is suitable for 10G Base-T networks.
