Multi-core optical connector cleaner

NTT-AT announced that it will begin worldwide sales of its Neoclean-M multi-core optical connector cleaner.

At OFC/NFOEC 2013, Tokyo's NTT Advanced Technology Corporation (NTT-AT) announced that it will begin worldwide sales of its Neoclean-M multi-core optical connector cleaner starting in April 2013. NTT-AT says it developed the Neoclean-M cleaner to meet the special needs of cleaning multi-fiber push-on (MPO) optical connectors.

Designed especially for use in data centers, the Neoclean-M's "one push system" automatically cleans the connector and advances the cleaning tape with no special skills required. Compact and easy to operate with just one hand, the tool can be used with both male (plug) and female (port) optical connectors.

Sales of 5,000 units domestically and worldwide are expected in the product's first year, said NTT-AT.
