New BICSI Connect courses cover topics relating to business, project management and safety.

BICSI, the association supporting the information technology systems (ITS) industry with information, education and knowledge assessment, announced that it has just added 20 new courses to its online, interactive learning network, BICSI Connect.

According to a press release, the new courses cover topics relating to business, project management and safety. Geared to help ITS professionals earn continuing education credits (CECs) through online courses, the association says that BICSI Connect is designed to offer students convenient and cost-effective Web-based training, which can be completed at their own pace.

“The expansion of BICSI’s online suite of courses further reinforces our mission to bring quality education to the hands of ITS professionals around the world,” comments Jerry L. Bowman, RCDD, NTS, RTPM, CISSP, CPP, CDCDP, BICSI President.

BICSI Connect debuted in 2007 with eight courses and is now includes 45 courses. The learning network includes the ITS Design Fundamentals Program, a set of five introductory courses that serve as a first step for professionals looking to learn more about the industry and advance their careers by obtaining prestigious BICSI credentials.

“BICSI Connect is just one way that we accomplish our mission to provide local training to core BICSI stakeholders and other technology professionals," concludes Bowman. "The new reality seems to be reduced budgets for educational travel, so we are working hard to develop new and better ways to bring local BICSI training to ITS professionals where they live and work.”
