Color-matched Velcro One-Wrap straps for fiber-optic cable
Velcro says its One-Wrap straps “bring your fiber-optic cable installation to a new level of color-match.” The straps’ colors match fiber cable for enhanced cable-type identification and installation appearance. “Velcro brand One-Wrap straps are a safe alternative to other cable ties and will not pinch, damage, or introduce unwanted insertion loss into the fiber network,” the company adds. “Velcro brand One-Wrap straps are designed to bring your cable pathways and spaces from ordinary to extraordinary.”
AFC Cable’s Interlocked MC Snapit fastens metal clad cables
AFC Cable Systems says its Interlocked MC Snapit makes installing Type MC (metal clad) cable fast and easy, with no tools required. The part’s patented rifled polycarbonate design will hold Type MC cable and Type AC cable 12/2 through 10/3, eliminating the unsightly sagging often seen with other supports. The MC SnapIt is made from polycarbonate, and can be used universally. It includes clips for low-voltage cable.
The HPH J-Hooks from Platinum Tools are “hybrid” J-hooks that are 2 inches wide, featuring the company’s reusable Snap-Lock latch for securing cable. Constructed of steel with a polypropylene over-mold for easy cable sliding, the Snap-Lock retainer firmly secures cables, taking the role of a cable tie. Ranging in sizes from 1 to 4 inches, the mini hooks come standard in a 90-degree angled, batwing design.
Southwire’s Releasable Cable Ties are UL 62275 AH-2 plenum-rated and Type 21 NEMA classified for use in air-handling spaces in accordance with National Electrical Code 300.22(C) and (D), the company says. “The burgundy color allows inspectors and AHJs [authorities having jurisdiction] to easily identify them as plenum-rated,” Southwire added. “They are UV-resistant for use indoors or outdoors and have a 50-pound tensile strength as well as patented integrated mounting holes along the length of the tile, which allow for easy cable-tie replacement without the risk of damaging the tie.” The releasable clasp allows the cable tie to be released easily, the company says, which enables repositioning and adjusting the tie or adding cables to a bundle—without the use of a cutting instrument. The Releasable Cable Ties are available in 8-, 11-, and 14-inch lengths.
