Cable Tray Manufacturer Wins Award for Reshoring Manufacturing Operations
Cable tray manufacturer Marlin Steel Wire Products recently was honored with a 2025 National Metalworking Reshoring Award. The awards program, now in its eighth year, recognizes success in bringing manufacturing to the United States. The program is sponsored by the Reshoring Initiative, the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), AMT – The Association for Manufacturing Technology, SME, the National Tooling and Machine Association (NTMA), and the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association (FMA). GE Appliances also was honored with a Reshoring Award.
When accepting the award, Marlin’s owner and president Drew Greenblatt commented, “Our employees are creative and innovative, coming up with novel ideas to differentiate ourselves from overseas competitors who offer prices below what we pay for steel alone. Our commitment to quality, on-time delivery, and extraordinary service is powering our growth. We literally trademarked ‘Quality Engineering Quick’ because this is our North Star to success. This is how USA factories can accelerate reshoring and bring millions of jobs back from overseas to the USA.”
The company employs 130 workers in Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Michigan.
The Reshoring Initiative’s founder and president Harry Moser observed, “Marlin won in recognition of their outstanding success demonstrating that automation, engineering, quality, and delivery can enable reshoring—even of high-volume commoditized products.” In addition to cable tray, Marlin manufactures products including wire baskets, wire forms, wire trays, rolling carts, racks, wire tie-backs, wire S hooks, metal brackets, steel strapping, and wire handles.
The company also manufactures other products that can be used for cable conveyance, routing, and management, including cable management panels, cable support rings, telecom mounting plates, cable bar management, and trays specifically made for fiber-optic cables.
