TIA elects chairmen, vice chairmen to subcommittees

March 5, 2004 - TR-42 Engineering Committee on User Premises Telecommunications Infrastructure posts results.

The TR-42 Engineering Committee on User Premises Telecommunications Infrastructure of the Telecommunications Industry Association recently met and held elections for chairmen and vice chairmen of its even-number subcommittees and its committee.

The results of the elections were:

* TR-42, User Premises Telecommunications Infrastructure - Robert Jensen, Fluke Networks, chairman. Paul Kish, NORDX/CDT, vice chairman.

* TR-42.2, Residential Cabling - Robert Jensen, Fluke Networks, chairman. John Pryma, Genesis Cable Systems, vice chairman.

* TR-42.4, Customer-Owned Outside Plant Telecommunications Infrastructure -
Henry Franc, Bell Canada, chairman.

* TR-42.6, Telecommunications Infrastructure and Equipment Administration -
Peter Sharp, Giffels Associates, chairman. Steve Huffaker, Bank One, vice chairman.

* TR-42.8, Optical Fiber Systems - Herb Congdon, Tyco Electronics, chairman. Julie Roy, NORDX/CDT, vice chairman.

TR-42 is responsible for commercial, industrial and residential cabling standards including telecommunications infrastructure administration, pathways and spaces, and copper and optical fiber systems requirements. These standards include information and requirements necessary for implementing telecommunications infrastructure.
