Harris Corp. to create intelligence, surveillance network for Middle Eastern nation

Deployed surveillance radios will establish a comprehensive air-ground-sea surveillance network.

MELBOURNE, Fla. & ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) has received an $11 million order from a Middle Eastern nation to provide a comprehensive coastal intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance communications network.

For the Middle Eastern nation, Harris will provide its Falcon III RF-7800M multiband networking radios, accessories and its battle management application in Coast Guard vehicles and strategic installations on land, at sea and in the air. The integrated platform will allow users to send and receive situational awareness and intelligence information across a secure mobile network, connecting squads and their commanders for real-time decision-making. If a threat is detected, local commanders will be able to coordinate air, ground and naval asset responses.
