ORing Industrial Networking Corp. has introduced its managed Redundant Ring PoE Ethernet Switch, IPS-3082GC-24V.
According to the company, the IPS-3082GC-24V integrates 8 ports with PoE (PSE) functionality and 2 Gigabit combo ports. The unit features an IP31 grade rugged aluminum housing with a -40~+75 deg C operation temperature range. The company says that this blend of features is an ideal combination for surveillance applications that handle large amounts of video images and data transmission.
The company says the new product's plug-and-play design and fault relay alarm function for auto notifications make the switch a user-friendly device, easy to implement in industrial on-site applications. ORing's proprietary Power Boost technology supports wide-range 12~36 VDC power inputs and generates 50VDC P.S.E power output per port. Hence, each port provides 15.4 watts for operation in harsh environments requiring IP surveillance, wireless AP access, etc.

The PS-3082GC-24V also provides advanced network control and security management functions such as SNMPv1/v2c/v3/IGMP v2/v3 and STP/RSTP/MSTP for operation in high level automation control networks. For network security and reliability, the IPS-3082GC-24V supports Ethernet Redundancy protocols, ORing and O-Chain, with recovery time of less than 10 milliseconds and up to 250 nodes. The IPS-3082GC-24V is also an environment-friendly switch which supports a "Green Power Schedule" so that users might set the desired power accordingly without wasting any electricity.
All functions of the IPS-3082GC-24V can be managed and centralized by its Windows Utility, Open Vision 3.5, which can monitor and control all devices in local network.
