On Tuesday, November 15 Cabling Installation & Maintenance will host a one-hour online seminar that will examine, among other technical topics, the fitness of Category 6A cabling as a supporting infrastructure for in-building wireless applications. Titled “Supporting Mobile Devices in the Workplace,” the seminar will broadcast live at 1:00pm EST on November 15. It will be presented by Larry Heisler, director of marketing for global building technology solutions with Anixter, and Ispran Kandasamy, global leader for enterprise building solutions with CommScope.
In a description of the seminar, Cabling Installation & Maintenance said, “As increasing numbers of mobile devices—including tablets and wearable devices—connect to cellular networks, analysts expect mobile data traffic to increase sevenfold by 2021. This rapid and significant growth requires enterprise network administrators to develop comprehensive wireless plans for employees and customers. Many facilities are not currently equipped for the coming floor of mobile data.”
The seminar will discuss “mobility in the workplace, the evolution of wireless technology and connectivity, and the ability of a Category 6A cabling infrastructure to support in-building wireless,” Cabling Installation & Maintenance continued. “The presentation will describe how an enterprise can use DAS, WiFi, small cells and public-safety DAS technologies to improve the wireless experience.”
Attendees of the one-hour seminar will be eligible to receive one continuing education credit (CEC) toward BICSI’s professional credentials.
After its live broadcast on November 15, the seminar will be available for on-demand viewing for six months.
