AEM Holdings, manufacturer of the TestPro Multifunction Cable Tester, recently was named one of Asia’s ‘Best Under a Billion’ firms by Forbes—referring to the company’s annual revenues of less than $1 billion.
Writing for Forbes, Pamela Ambler explained that AEM revenues rose 18% in 2018 to S$262 million (US$195 million). While Ambler reported the company expects a revenue decline in 2019, she pointed out that AEM’s testing portfolio is being used on Huawei’s 5G rollout in China.
“Over the past two years [AEM] has spent $13 million on acquisitions,” Ambler reported. “This include Singapore’s IRIS Solution, a machine vision firm, and Finland’s Afore, which is jointly developing a wafer-testing tool with Intel and has a deal with Taiwan’s Foxconn to test microchips. AEM also bought InspiRain Technologies, a Singapore-based company that supplies cable testers for Huawei’s 5G rollout in China.”
Forbes writer Jonathan Burgos stated that the Best Under a Billion list “highlights 200 Asia-Pacific public companies with less than $1 billion in revenue and consistent top- and bottom-line growth. These companies posted more than 50% average growth in annual net profit and sales in their latest financial year, to a combined $10 billion and $54 billion, respectively.”
In 2018, AEM’s TestPro CV100 Multifunction Cable Tester received a Gold award in the Cabling Installation & Maintenance Cabling Innovators Awards program.
Harshang Pandya, general manager of test and measurement at AEM International, said at the time, “Coming off the launch of TestPro, and the Category 8 Field Tester Accuracy Certification from ETL/Intertek, we’re honored to be recognized. TestPro offers the fastest cable certification speeds on the market today—a six-second Category 6A certification test—and can qualify multi-gig link speed and verify loaded PoE at a fraction of the cost of older technologies. As organizations continue shifting toward digital infrastructure, contractors and network owners can rely on the power of TestPro.”
