Jonard Tools this month announced an expansion its fiber-optic tools offering with the addition of two new tool kits.

Jonard's TK-355 Fiber Stripper & Kevlar Shears Kit w/ Leather Pouch pairs the manufacturer's best-selling JIC-186 Wire & Kevlar Cutting Shears with its JIC-375 Three Hole Fiber Optic Stripper in a convenient leather pouch.

The TK-355 Fiber Stripper & Kevlar Shears Kit is billed as "the essential tool kit for any fiber technician."

The kit's JIC-186 shears are designed for cutting Kevlar, cabling insulation, tape, cable ties, and other materials with ease. For its part, the included JIC-375 stripper tool strips the 1.6 mm-3 mm fiber jackets, 600-900 micron buffer coatings, and 250 micron coatings to expose 125 micron glass fiber.

The TK-355 kit's comfortable leather, 2-pocket tool pouch (Jonard model H-45) keeps tools safe and secure, and easily attaches to any belt up to 2" wide.

Also this month, Jonard introduced its TK-108 Fiber Optic Mid Span Slit & Ring Tool Kit (1.2 mm-18.2 mm). The TK-108 kit provides an array of tools designed to provide easy access into fiber-optic cables and buffer tubes via midspan slitting and ringing procedures.
